    About Us

    The convergence
    of two people

Diablo Atelier was born from the meeting of two opposite visions: engineering and design, logic and form, Lima and New York. That permanent tension is what defines every piece that leaves the studio.

    Our Philosophy
"We believe the synergy of opposing ideas
generates better results and enriches the creative process."

At Diablo Atelier there is no single way of doing things. There is a technical mind and a sensitive one, an engineer and a designer, a mining background and an eye trained in New York. That friction doesn't slow us down — it defines us.

    The Origin
"Diablo is the convergence of two people and, because of that, it is complex to try to define it. We are in a constant push and pull of our ideas."

Diablo Atelier was born in New York in 2013. The name comes from a nickname given to us by José, a great Puerto Rican friend. From that moment, we decided to collaborate and develop the brand together through different projects.

The studio is the convergence of two minds: the technical vision of someone who understands materials from their roots in the mining industry, and the sensitive eye of someone who studied industrial design and exhibition in New York. That duality is not just history — it is the creative engine behind every collection.

Today, Diablo Atelier operates from two cities: Miraflores in Lima, where the studio was born, and JAX Diriyah in Riyadh — one of the most vibrant creative districts in the Middle East.

    The Ceramist
My interest in ceramics began in my childhood, in the eighties and nineties, when I attended classes with Grimanesa Neuhaus at the Casa Azul in Miraflores. After completing my Systems Engineering degree at UNI, I worked for many years in the mining industry. That experience allows me to understand the process and origin of ceramic materials — 100% of which come from mines — and to know how to modify them to achieve the studio's objectives.

    Diana
Diana is an industrial designer with a master's degree in Exhibition Design from New York. Within the studio, she focuses on the customer sales experience and the relationship between person and product. She enjoys thinking about form, function, and their coherence with execution techniques. Her vision is what transforms each piece into an object that not only is useful, but establishes a relationship with its user. That contribution is what distinguishes Diablo from any other ceramics studio.

    The studio, the clay
    and the people

Ceramyst visited us in Lima to document what we do: not just pieces, but friendships that form around clay. This is Diablo Atelier in its purest state.

    What drives us
    01
    Form & Function
Every piece must be beautiful and useful at the same time. We don't believe in decorative art you can't touch — our ceramics live on the table, in the kitchen, in everyday life.
    02
    Material Honesty
We work with clay, glaze, and fire. No shortcuts, no imitations. The texture, the weight, the slight imperfection — that's what makes it real.
    03
    Community
The studio is a place where people come to make things, but end up building friendships. That's something you can't plan — it just happens around clay.
